Fake Benefit make-up ebay!!?

• Ok so i really wanted some concealer and a new eyebrow kit, bit short on cash,so i went onto ebay and bid on a really genuine looking confessions of a concealaholic kit and a brows a go go kit. I think i paid a total of around €28 for the both of these including p&p, where as they would be about €55 for both of these in a store. The seller was from England and showed actual pictures of the items, not factory pictures. so I didn't think for one minute i was being scammed, just thought I was getting a good deal. So i waited a week and I received the items, and knew straight away the brows a go-go kit was fake. It was a bit off colour, the packaging more squashed looking than usual. But the products looked fine, the same as normal when I opened it up. Just looked cheaply made! It also had no batch code either on the outer packaging or the box, a bit of a pathetic attempt of faking it. My concealer kit was looking good, I checked for the batch code and it had one, and had the same one on the box as was on the outer packaging. The inside of the box looked good, the makeup of good quality and coverage and the leaflet well printed, no mistakes on it etc., BUT when i looked closer, the pans that the makeup is filled into (the little tiny metal containers that hold the makeup) were a little less full than expected and could notice them when i inspected it. Then, to confirm, i checked the batch code on the 'that gal' primer in the box too, the code on it didn't match the other codes on the box. :( THIS WAS FAKE TOO AHHH!!, but good try i guess. and good quality make up which I was happy-ish about. I'm going to report the seller though, and rightly so. Was just wondering has this happened to anyone else on ebay, with benefit or similar brands like MAC, bobbi brown, urban decay, etc?! It is crazy, and i should have known better. The quality of the make-up is good, I guess I got lucky, it was obviously tested (probably on animals :( ) ,but I have heard of people getting dye on their faces from dodgy make-up brushes and getting nasty rashes and blotches on their skin from dodgy cheap 'branded' make-up from ebay and other sites like it! ***Anyone that reads this, please don't order any branded make-up off ebay!!! It is fake 99% of the time, and it doesn't matter if their reviews are 100% positive, because they either have not been reported by people yet, or will not be reported because they are selling to unsuspecting buyers! *** These 'steal buys' are fake, unless they are used, and nobody wants a used item, especially make-up, and they fund illegal industries such as people trafficking and prostitution, which is really sad! In saying this, I did order a MAC foundation brush a 109 a while ago (for about €10 from someone in Ireland too) and i brought it to a MAC store and it was indeed genuine, so I stupidly thought it would be ok to buy make-up from ebay too! :( Needed to put this up here as a warning and to hear other people's dodgy make-up stories from ebay and the likes! :)

  I have often bought makeup and cosmetics on eBay with no problems at all. Did you read every word of the description, even the small print that some sellers use? Did you study carefully the photo(s) that accompanied the listing? Did you check the feedback and see what others had to say?
