What causes foundation settlement?

Has anybody tried the Maybelline Matte Mousse Foundation?

  • Ok, so i am really debating on this one. I have been looking for a new foundation for a while now, the only reason i wear foundation is because my skin tone is so uneven and I have 3 blemishes on one cheek from previous acne. Currently, I am using Maybelline Mineral Power Powder in Dark 1 shade, and I like it alot, except its light coverage and its a bit too orange/red, my face is more lightbrown-yellow.I need something with at least medium coverage..Now this Matte Mousse one I have heard both positive and negative. From what I hear it has great coverage and is recommend for combination skin (which is what I have), its light on the face, not cakey, and gives a matte finish. Now for the negatives, I heard that it causes bad break outs and big pores. Which is NOT what i want. My skin only breaks out when I'm on my period or if use dirty pillow cases and towels, and even at that its only like 2-3. My face has never really broken out to makeup or facial products, the only makeup brand that caused me to break out was Cover Girl(awful!). I mean, I want to try this foundation, but at the same time I'm scared to breakout. Is there maybe a specific way you must apply it? or a certain amount you should use in order to keep from breaking out?

    my frist ever foundtion i bought when i was 15 to 16 i had the matte mouse and its good for starters but now i do perfer the loreal magic souffle better for the skin then the matte mouse but there kind of like the same fromular

I tried it and the only time i really broke out was when i didn;t wash it off at night and when i first started using it. (my skin wasnt use to foundation) That one is really good but it can make your skin look a bit dry. I REALLY love the Dream SMOOTH mousse, Its also great for combination skin. It is matte but dewy at the same time. It gives me a FLAWLESS finish and i love it. You could do either one or both. Cant go wrong either way!!
