What to do about unruly bottom eyelashes?

Is it okay to put a little mascara on your bottom eyelashes?

  • Whenever I put on mascara (on top) i like them thick and curled; almost fake like. And when I put mascara on the bottom I try to make them look natural(not long). And my friend told me that its not right to put mascara on the bottom. So I asked her why and she said "because its like a rule, everybody knows not to". I think that's B.S. its not like its a law. She's not my mom so I still put some mascara on the bottom. But I want to hear your opinions. And if one of y'all is a makeup artist i would be soooo happy to read about what you think.

    LOL No offense to your friend but that's dumb. Of course you can put mascara on those bottom lashes, girl. I watch beauty gurus on youtube ALL the time and they always use mascara on the bottom. Personally I don't just because it always ends up smudging under my eye. Besides you can do whatever you want with YOUR make up. You should ask your friend where she heard that "rule". Golly gee. Hope this helped. haha

It's fine as long as they're not clumpy because that just looks gross.

Im no makeup artist but its perfectly fine to put mascara on your bottom lashes. Dont listen to stupid people like that. Do what you like.

yes it's okay to apply mascara on your bottom eyelashes, I see everyone do it, but I remember there was a day actually it was only a couple years ago when no one wore mascara on the bottom lashes, but now I see literally everyone who wears mascara on the top lashes wears it on the bottom lashes too, and i'm one of those people btw

You can, but it generally doesn't look good..it runs and smears when it's applied to the bottom, making you look messy...

Your friend is giving her opinion. Mascara on the bottom lashes are awsome! They make your eyes look so much bigger!!

I put even coats on the top and bottom. It really opens your eyes.. if you don't wear any on the bottom its gonna look retarded.
