How do I make my blue eyes look brighter?
-
I have blue eyes {as you already know} and brown hair. How can I make my eyes really stick out? I see a lot of really cool makeup where they have black eyeliner, but underneath it sort of fades. Thanks in advance!

browns, bronze, and golds make blue eyes "pop". I wore black for years, and then started using bronze eyeliner and shades of brown and purple eyeshadow - what a difference! DO NOT wear blue makeup! It washes your eye color out and mkes it all blend together. Blue clothing does tend to help though :)

Typically you would find a color that is a compliment to the blue, like, believe it or not, the rusts, oranges and browns. I'd stay away from black eyeliner, (personally), and work in more browns and the occasional light sparkly blue highlight under the eyebrow bone, along the eyebrow. The browns can also be smudged along the bottom lashes to pick up the blues and frame your eyes.

Benefit Cosmetics mascara in BADgal Blue. I tried it once and it really made my blue-grey eyes shine. And purple or golden eyeshadow, through years of experience, I've found to be the best colors.

use an electric blue eyeliner right under your bottom lashes then use white irridescent under the blue. use white on your top lashes, too, making sure you use the white in the corner of your eyes clear over to the tear duct. then use some platinum shadow under your browbone and in the corner of you upper lids.

You can either purchase a different kind of eyeliner (one that wont fade so easily), or have a permanent eyeliner "tatooed" on your bottom lids, or possibly purchase a pair of the brightest contact lenses offered by a licensed optometrist. Good luck!

Wear a blue shirt. You can also get blue contacts from the opthamologist.

Ok.. Start by lining your eyes, black on the top lashline, and white or pale blue on the bottom lash line. Next, apply a pale, but shimmery, eyeshadow.. White or pale blue would look great. A soft purple can also bring out the blue in your eyes.. Experiment, and have fun with it! =)
