Makeup ideas for light skin, blonde hair, blue eyes?
-
I have icy blue eyes, platinum (natural) blonde hair, and very fair, light skin. When I buy powder coverup I usually buy 'Ivory' which I think is the lightest it gets.. Haha What I wear daily: Lash Blast by Covergirl and Collosel over that. About 4 coats so it's thick. Mac felt eyeliner black on my top lid. Maybeline powder 'Ivory' and some super old Lancom bronzer on some days. It's hard for me to wear eye shadow due to my fair colored skin and even if I wear a light pink it looks like I got punched in the eye! Haha My skin is very dry and I have acne (not too much though). I can't seem to find a good cover up. I like powder but it makes my skin look dry. I tried 2 different cremes but they both turned my face a complete different color. If you know any good tutorials or ideas please share! I am tired of the same, simple thing every day!

Hello! After reading this, it seems you are prone to acne/have dry, sensitive skin. For you, I recommend Makeup Forever's foundation + primer to get a flawless finish. These are available at Sephora, and you can try each one to see which is your skin color. These are pretty expensive, but are a great investment, trust me. They are very light and are made for your skin type. Use a sponge or stippling brush to lightly apply it so it doesn't look cakey though! I think you should wash your face with an acne wash 2-3 times a day to get rid of the acne before adding foundation to give you a more flawless finish. Since you have icey blue eyes, I recommend using a black eyeshadow with a blue fling at the end, I will give you instructions below to achieve a beautiful look for you. 1) Apply foundation to your face, and cover up any blemishes with concealer. 2) Prime your eyes with a good primer to have long lasting make up and to prevent creasing (I prefer using Urban Decays Primer Potion or Two-Faced Shadow Insurance, all available at Sephora) 3) Lightly highlight your brow bone with a white eye shadow to make your eyes pop more. 4)Using a white eyeliner, line your water line to make your eyes appear bigger 5)Apply a light blue eye shadow all over the lid and slightly above the crease 6) Apply a matte black eye shadow on the outer V of your eye, then blend inwards twords the other side of the V to achieve a gradient effect. Blend any harsh lines. 7)Apply a nude or lightly pigmented lipstick, mascara, and line your eyes to top it off. Now you should have a smokey, sexy blue smokey eye. Using a blue eyeshadow will compliment the color of your eyes, and bring lots of attention to them. But make sure you dont over do it. I hope this helped, and stay beautiful! (;

For make up, you want to look naturally beautiful, even though every woman is :) Some light brown eyeshadow should do the trick. Stick to black mascara, and when using eyeliner, the pencil kinds are tricky. Sometimes they just suck at putting on a nice line. So it's either or on the pencil or nonpencil kind. Do which ever you like best. I use black eyeliner, but sometimes if you get a dark brown it gives the natural look. Also, when you apply it, the outer corner should have the most eyeliner around it and then fade out as you go to the inner corner. Though try to avoid it overall, it's just so tacky no matter how you put it on. Some blush is nice, because we want to look like we're naturally blushing :)When applying, smile and put it on the apples of your cheeks. Then fade up to your temples. That could help color up your complexion. Bronzer looks tacky in so many ways. I wouldn't use it ever. It's okay to be pale and porceline :) Though guys prefer NO make up at all! Seriously! No joke! Just don't wear any! IF YOU REALLY WANT TO WEAR MAKE UP SIMPLIFY IT TO 2 ITEMS. Like just eyeshadow and mascara one day and the next day eyeliner and mascara. Or just some blush and then mascara. If there's one make up to wear, it's mascara. Then throw in 1 thing with it. On Fridays and the weekends, you can wear it all! Hope that helps!
Look at tutorials on youtube... They really helped me :) Look into Taylor Swift tutorials (she has fair skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair like you) This is my favorite beauty guru on youtube... Michelle Phan http://www.youtube.com/user/MichellePhan

heey, I also have very blue eyes, blonde hair, and fair skin.(: Yes I would agree dark colors eye shadow's like black make it look like you got punched in the eye. Use light colors like light blue, pink, green and a silver or light brown will bring out your blue eyes even more. rimmel london lasting finish foundation is good(: http://media.well.ca/images/large/products/rimmel-london-lasting-finish-fou_1235746025_LRG.jpg good coverage, wont clog pores, oil free, long lasting, i really love it. the body shops tea tree concealer works good, and helps heal acne. http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/images/product/zoom/58326m_z.jpg and finally finish off with a translucent powder to set your foundation and concealer. i like nyc one. http://www.superdrug.com/content/ebiz/superdrug/invt/365688/365688_l.jpg hope this helped! As far as foundations go, cremes are the best choice. From what you're describing, our skin is a lot alike. I just bought the Maybelline mousse foundation and it works phenomenally for blemishes here and there, also for dark circles under your eyes. I also was given an Avon creme foundation as a gift, but when I wanted to order another one, the label was too scratched out so I couldn't get the right shade! ...Too lazy to guess :) If light eye shadows seem to dark, you could just try using a small eyeliner brush (or eyeshadow brush, just think small!) And just do a light outline around your eyes. For your skin tone and eye color I recommend super light pastel colors, matte colors are the best in my opinion. Colors like light pink, a medium brown (just a little on the outer parts of your eye), violets or light grays. If you wanted some more sheer colors I would only say pink or types of tan/beige colors. Honestly, if you have an Ulta where you live, they have a pretty decent line of eye shadows, along with NYX, I have a few different colors of their jumbo eye pencils and they work great. Hope this helps!

I have very fair skin as well. I don't have blue eyes but I have hazel. I like using Almay eyeshadows that have 3 colors in one. I use the sets that are for hazel eyes but they also have sets for blue eyes. I would try looking into those eyeshadows. They have a couple different color palettes for people with blue eyes. As far as your skin goes I would suggest using a makeup called Bare Minerals at www.bareescentuals.com. It's a powder that is healthy for your skin and won't dry it out. I've used it before and loved it. The only thing is that it is a little pricy but I think it's worth it. ( I stopped using it cause I couldn't afford to buy it due to limitations of income. Once I get a steady income I'm going to switch back to it cause I loved it that much.) You should look into it. They also have eyeshadows as well that you can buy. If you don't want to spend that kind of money I would suggest using foundations that are hypoallergenic but that don't have acne fighting ingredients. The makeup that has acne fighting ingredients made my skin dry. I like to use Almay foundation and powder. I use the Almay brand that says it hydrates all day. I found that it covers my skin up enough (not all the way but then again I have dark spots from my acne) and it doesn't make my skin look dry. Before I put on the makeup I put on a moisturizer that has acne fighting ingredients (I use Clean and Clear dual action mositurizer with sacylic acid). This mositurizer doesn't dry my skin and it helps with acne. Hope this helps!

I think this is a really good tutorial on how you could bring out your eyes, as you will see in the video the womans eyes really stand out because of her makeup here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HENjvsgTHqg I hope this helps :)
Hmmm...I have two very good options for you!! This is the makeup I use and I have all the qualities you have. Its simple and only 10 steps: 1.) Wash face with a cremey cleanser (good for dry skin) 2.) Apply a lotion that isn't too heavy (for the mornings of course. At night, apply a lotion that will go down deep into your skin) 3.) Apply NatureLuxe Silk Foundation by Covergirl in Alabaster 305 4.) LIGHTLY apply Clean Pressed Power for Normal Skin by Covergirl (most of my cosmetics are Covergirl!!) in Ivory 105 where needed 5.) Apply Covergirl's Smoother Concealer in Fair 705 on your blemishes and around your eye area 6.) Apply L'Oreal Paris True Match Naturale Blush in Soft Rose either under your cheekbones or on the apples of your cheeks. Whichever you perfer. 7.) Next, I use NYX 3 Color Eyeshadow with Purple, Deep Purple and Prune TS06. Its a set of eyeshadows. On the ball of my lid, I apply the purple. Then in my crease and outer V, I apply the deep purple. In the inner V, I apply the prune. Then blend, blend, blend! 8.) On your top lashline, apply Liquiline Blash Eyeliner by Covergirl in either Blackfire 410 or Brown Blaze 420. These colors both work really well for me. Try sweeping your eyeliner out if you feel daring! Next, apply your eyeliner on your waterline on your bottom lid. 9.) On your lashes, apply LashBlast Fusion Mascara by Covergirl in Very Black 800. What I do to make my lashes look fuller is that I wiggle the wand at the roots of my lashes, then slowly sweep to the tips. It takes me a while to do my mascara because I want my lashes to be perfect! Also, wiggle your wand lightly on your bottom lashes for an eyeopening effect. 10.) Now, finish off with NatureLuxe Gloss Balm by Covergirl in Anemone 225. All done! Heres my second option for you. Its a tutorial on Youtube that I occasionally wear out some days: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhYo2_5vnkI&feature=related Glad I could help you! ~Ashh

i am a makeup artist in my bathroom love. lol. i use on average 5 different colours of eye shadow and it looks like two. i use a white eye shadow on the part of my lid where it otuches my eye lashes(if that makes sense) usually a light colour in the corner, a darker colour on the outside corner. a skin tone with sparkles that goes from the crease of my eye to my brow. and then i use a darker white colour in the very centre. super lightly. it looks kinda shiny then. i usually put my eyeliner on the top lid over the white slightly. but not completely. just thin lines. and throw some mascara on it. my eyes are green so i use a white, sometimes a reddish colour on the outside and a light green on the inside with a peachy sparkly one on top with the same white colour on the centre. the way i do it, by the end of the day, they blend together somewhat and looks fantastic. i was in san fransisco california a couple years ago and met a guy who creates and installs apps in a photo shop thing. i did my own make up every time and i have my eyes designed as is on a photo shop disc. so if your photo shopping, you could be using my eyes. haha : ) i wish this was written, i cant describe well over text. i hope this helped though. cheers : )
