How much do makeup artist make for a living?

    It depends, and no you don't make a lot of money, even emmy award winning makeup artists are still fairly middle class. But there are a lot of perks if you're willing to work 18 hour days, and be away from home for months at a time. I'm a makeup artist myself, and it's really hard, you earn very little money, and I LOVE IT TO DEATH!

Now if they were a make up artist and there side job was sephora depending on the experience and knowledge, they could make 500 a day. Now if they were worked at sephora at the mall, it's just an hourly job. It'll take some time to make the big bucks.

it depends wear you work. when I started at MAC I made $11 now I make $18 an hour. I work like 6-9 hour shifts you do the math also like 4 to 6 days a week.
