Is high heat primer necessary?

Is it really necessary to buy the laura mercier mineral primer for her mineral foundation?

  • I have dry skin and I really want to purchase Laura Mercier's hydrating primer for my liquid foundations. However, I wanna try her mineral foundation as well. She has a primer specifically for the mineral foundation. I was wondering if it was really necessary to purchase the mineral primer for the foundation (will it make a difference) or can I just use the hydrating primer? The reason Im curious is because, the mineral primer is a liquid to powder formula, and I was wondering if that would make a difference.

    Ok companies will try to get you to buy as many products as possible in one big cash grab. What's with all these 5 step regimens... ridiculous. I sincerely doubt you need the specific primer. What you can do also is to look at the ingredients in both products, if they're the same, then the product is the same with just a different label slapped on. PS I am not a hippie or other type of weirdo. I like makeup and always look good going out. I just dislike marketing and cashgrabs.
