How much acetone is in nail polish remover?

Is Acetone nail polish remover bad if you inhail too much of it?

• like, while your removing your nail polish, or acyilc nails, smelling it for so long... or it being in the air around you. I'm removing my nails right now, and need about two more, just now I felt my heart beating a little fast for a few seconds, then it stopped. does this have anything to do with the Acetone? or are there any types of chemicals that are bad for the body?? I do have a heart diseas, called DiGeorge Syndrome, so could it be possible that i'm more sensitive to it?? or, i don't know... lol. like, the smell is HORRIBLE.. I can't stand even just 2 seconds of it, i have to hold my breath.. so, you think the heart beating fast has anything to do with the Pure Acetone?? on the bottle it says "100% Pure Acetone, Maximum Strength".. does any one know?? or does this happen to you?? just curious, so, thanks :)

  Breathing small to moderate amounts of acetone will not hurt you. Extended inhalation can cause throat, lung, eye and nose irritation. It can also cause headache, dizziness, a faster pulse rate and nausea. Smokers inhale acetone when they smoke. Acetone isgenerally recognized to have low acute and chronic toxicity if ingested and/or inhaled. Inhalation of high concentrations (around 9200 ppm) in the air caused irritation of the throat in humans in as little as 5 minutes. Inhalation of concentrations of 1000 ppm caused irritation of the eyes and of the throat in less than 1 hour. Hope this helps
