I wanna start a youtube beauty channel, but im afraid people will make fun of me?

You're not a $100, not everyone is going to love you. Your going to get some pretty mean comments from losers with no life, you have to learn to laugh at that and take criticism from people. The thing is, everyone has access to youtube and there is a big chance someone from school might come across your channel but if they make fun of you, ask them why they were looking up things like that in the first place? No one would come across your channel if they aren't looking for advice about beauty so just laugh at them back and ask them if they want your autograph or something :) Mock them for looking up beauty on youtube if they mock you for making the videos. Plus there are alots of haters out there, people that you don't even know that will comment on your videos and say mean things. Ignore them, it ain't worth it. Good luck with your channel! Don't be scared, stand up and smile ):)

People are always going to make fun. There are INCREDIBLE make up artists on youtube and people make fun of them. People are jealous and a lot just like to have something negative to say. But the very fact that you want to do this shows that you have a great interest in beauty and maybe one day you'll be able to turn this into a career if you so choose. So keep trying and don't worry what other people have to say.

hello :) i recently started my own beauty channel back in january. i just turned 19. i say definitely go for it! honestly, it'll take a looong time for anyone you personally know to find out about your videos. so far i've only met 2 people on youtube that went to my school. if it's something you want to do, then do it. it's fun, trust me. haters will be haters -- you gotta know that. but just don't worry about them. most haters are people who have no videos themselves because they're too scared to put themselves out there. putting yourself out there takes courage and courage sure beats being insecure in my book. go for it!

Welcome to the human race. We are all scared. Do it,clearly it's a passion of yours. Research, find a mentor, DO it. If you do lose a few 'friends - you'll gain many more.

Nasty youtubers will ALWAYS find something about everyone to criticize about.. If they're not this, then they're that. It's time that you move on from the thought of people from your school knowing about it. It's a beauty channel, they're meant to know about it. Once they see your video and see how creative and confident you are, they won't make fun of you. They will respect you. Some might even make their own channel if they see how successful yours will be. Trust me :D

You should just go for it! People are always going to hate on others. I have my own youtube channel and they do that to me all of the time. But just think about it, they are at home, in front of their computer, saying mean things to people most likely because they are not happy with themselves or they want you to react. Don't by into that! You should do it and have fun with it!

youtube guru's that are really successful get TONS of haters.. i mean youtube in general has many many online bashers. you can decide whether or not you will be able to deal with some criticism; it might bring you down or it might make you stronger. considering your fear in making one it might break you down. but i mean you can always just put the mode on "pending comment request" so that you can approve or not whether it will be posted. but gooodluck! just be very careful when it comes to the internet. its a huge world when you expose yourself out there
