Are ingredients in makeup products like Beeswax, Wax, Red No.6 Lake, and Cetyl Alcohol bad for skin?
-
I'm looking into some makeup products and I've noticed these ingredients are very common in the products. Are they good or bad? Why?
-
Answer:
Beeswax and other waxes are generally used for texture or to make the product more emollient. The red is simply a color and Cetyl Alcohol is a very good moisturizing product. In it's natural state is looks almost like a stick of butter. You will find it in many great skin care products, lotions, conditioners, etc.
