What's the difference between velvet and velveteen?

Whats the Difference? [ makeup ]?

M.A.C eyeshadow....the kinds they have are like satin, velvet, veluxe, veluxe pearl, matte, matte 2, frost, and lustre. what is the difference between all these and which one would u reccomend. [ it needs to apply easily and stay on all day with a great vibrant color ] also please include ur favorite shades. thanks. thanks.

They are different finishes. The satin and pearl are a bit shimmery compared to the rest. MAC shaodws are excellent in color selection but unfortunately, they do not stay on. Try L'Oreal. L'Oreal has the same set of finishes but less confusing and they stay on. Also try Urban Decay Primer Potion as this will let your eye makeup stay in place the whole day-
