??how do i use glycerin in/with my make up ?? i want to try using it but don't know how?? please help!!!!

• hi i have heard it can be mixed with eye shadows but i would like to know other uses for make up. i have something special coming up and i want my make up to stay put, look moist or dewy but not oily, on my oily skin. i also am not trying to do punk rock make up but nice reg. make up.if you have any other make up tips please tell.

  That is because you should mix it with water to make a mixing medium for your eyeshadows or pigments. Glycerin itself is very dehydrating so it MUST be diluted with some sort of solution before applying it to your skin. Glycerine as part of mixing medium, it simply attracts moisture from the air and seals it onto the skin surface. That is why mixing diluted glycerine with your pigments/eyeshadows will make your shadows stay on longer and more vibrant. So the recipe for making your own mixing medium is Glycerine + water. There are preservatives added to mixing medium to preserve the product. But because we're not gonna add any preservatives its best to make your mixing medium in small batches. The ratio for glycerine is 1:3. 1 part glycerine and 3 parts water. You'll find people use different ratios but 1:3 is pretty much standard for making small batches. It will probably last you a month depending how often you use it and what your using it for. Mixing medium is used when you want to transform your eyeshadow into eyeliner or making your pigments/eyeshadows more vibrant and long lasting.
