What is Sales Promotions Agencies?

David Jones & Myers sales, promotions and giveaways.?

• I live in a small country town nowhere near the city, and I was wondering if David Jones or Myers (or any other city stores) do 'giveaways', sales, free little things as promotions, things like that. I've only been in ether of the stores once and was to scared to go up to any of the make-up counters as it looked very exclusive and expensive! Thanks :)

  They don't "give away" cosmetics per se, but they will occasionally hand out tester sachets for you to take home and try. I agree that the ladies at the counter can look very intimidating but it's their job to help you out, so don't feel like you can't ask questions or whatnot. If you're specifically there to buy a foundation, for example, most of the time they will sit you in a chair and find the perfect foundation for your skintone and type. They might ask you a few questions like "Do you wear makeup often?" and "What coverage are you after?" et cetera, to help them find one that is suitable for your lifestyle. For example, if you don't like to wear makeup much or are new to it, they'll try to find something that's fairly easy to apply. If you prefer a very light and natural look/feel, they'll match you with a light-coverage foundation. You get the idea :-) It's really nothing to worry about! They tend to customers all day (after all, it IS their job) so don't freak out and get nervous. Just remember to present yourself well (don't wear ripped jeans or dirty runners) and don't forget your manners and you'll be a-okay - I promise!
