Where can I get completely free eyeshadow samples?

What types of samples/freebies would I be able to get? (Makeup)?

  • I'm looking to try some foundation/primer and eyeshadows that would suit me. I have pretty sensitive skin, and am wary of wasting money on products that end up either irritating my skin or just not looking good on me. I want to try and get some samples/freebies from some makeup shops at the mall... although I will admit that I almost always buy at drugstores. However I'm not doing this 'just for the sake of it's free' as I want to actually figure out what works for me. Do most places even offer samples on these products (primer/eyeshadow/foundation)? What is the best way to go about doing this (do I fake that I'm ready to actually buy it, or right away say that I'm just looking and would like to try)? Thanks.

    The easiest place to go is Sephora. Ask them about primer, eyeshadow, and foundation. Tell them to give you a 'makeover' or you want to try some. After they apply it, ask for a sample. Usually they give a 1 week sample. If you like, buy! For primer, ask for Smashbox's primer. Eye primer, Urban Decay's Primer Potion Eyeshadow... good quality... try NARS shadows for cheaper, ask to try the cream shadow/liners from benefit. Urban Decay shadows are fun... Go to your local shop of SEPHORA and ask them about samples on foundation to match your color and maybe eye shadows, you can even test them there.
