Do hair dyes come with an expiry date??? I have LOreal hair dye at home which I completely forgot..?

While cleaning my drawer I came across it....It must be 3-4 yrs old...Could I use it now without any adverse effects????????help!!!!!

A lot depends on the shade. If it is a brown or black shade, you won't notice the difference. If it is a blonde shade, there will be a subtle shift in tone. Also, when a product is that old, some ammonia will have permeated through the bottle and there will be a tad less lightening. Hair colors are very stable products and are typically given at least a 3 years shelf life.
