How long do real human hair clip-in extensions last?

Should I buy my hair extensions or dye my hair first?

• I naturally have dirty blonde hair but I dyed it platinum blonde but I'm dying it light brown next week. I am also buying really hair extensions but I'm not sure if I should buy the extensions before or after I dye my hair to make sure they match. Should I buy hair extensions to the color hair mine is right now and dye it next week with myths rest of my hair? Or Should I buy hair extensions to the hair color I want and bring them in when I dye my hair and make sure they match and have them dyed right then if they don't? Or Should I wait until after I dye my hair to buy the extensions? I'm scared to buy the extensions after I dye it because I want to make sure they match hair colors and look real.
