Getting rid of cold sore scabs?

What to do with scabs after getting cornrows?

  • I got my hair braided for the first time a few months ago and its been 6 weeks since I took them out. Still I feel scabs on my head all the time and I just have the strongest urge to scratch them off. I will try to stop picking them now but are there any other remedies that will help? A certain shampoo or cream maybe?

  • Answer:

Don't pick them as the scabs may become infected. Use a gentle shampoo and conditioner and avoid scratching your scalp. Apply an organic hair pomade (see website below). This product works for every ethnicity; not just Black people with natural hair. ***How you treat your hair and scalp while the braids are in, will determine the condition of your scalp when the braids are removed. Use care not to pull your braids, or scratch your scalp. Gentle massaging with your fingertips, not finger nails, is okay. Avoid oily products; instead use organic products with natural moisturizers.*** Good luck. :)
