What's the best wax for upper lip hair?

Will my upper lip hair grow thicker if i wax it?

  • Well i have always been hesitant about waxing my upper lip hair,my parents and beautician always claim that if i do wax it it will grow thicker, darker and more noticeable which worries me because i am 17.I usually use the hair removal creams and bleach from sally Hansen but they don't seem to be working any more and the only other option i have is to wax it.I would also like to know if the hairs become more coarse after a while of waxing it continuously.

Although most people say it's a myth I know some who have had their upper-lip waxed and it grew back a lot more noticeable than before so now they have to constantly wax it. So basically it's like shaving your legs. Once you start you can't go back. You can but like I said, it's a lot more noticeable. It may not have the same effect on you but if it does, be aware that you're going to have to constantly wax or the hair will become visible. But shaving and waxing are two different things and waxing is a lot less often. You would be doing it like every 2-3 weeks or so. Also, if you've already used creams to remove it, the hair will eventually grow back and although it may not be thicker, the hair could be darker so I suggest you begin to wax it if it's really bothering you.

No, it will not grow in thicker. It will stay about the same and may get even thinner. The hairs may get darker. I used to use the bleach creams also and found that people still noticed that I had a moustache. The hair removal creams also tended to sometimes burn my skin or leave a rash. Waxing is one of the better ways and it takes longer for the hair to grow back, usually 2-3 weeks.

Yes but this will happen with pretty much anything to remove hair. The benefit to waxing is that it removes the roots of the hair causing it to take longer to grow back
