How do I make my hair wavy?

How can I make my frizzy wavy hair nicer looking?

  • I have frizzy wavy hair. It looks nice in pictures, but in person my hair is frizzy and dry looking. I leave my conditioner in for a long time, just on the ends. I use a spray leave-in conditioner and this product called "it's a 10". My hair is still frizzy looking. It's also flatter on the top and poofy-er on the bottom. I let my hair air dry, because I don't want to damage it anymore, I'm trying to grow my hair out. (It's been highlighted and dyed twice in the past year, but I've stopped dying/coloring my hair, and I only straighten my hair once a week) So how can I make my frizzy wavy hair look nicer and just wavy instead of frizzy? Thanks if you could help :]

I have the same problem. I sleep on my hair with nothing in it and then in the morning, i wet it with a spray bottle (dont use salt water, it dries out your hair) and then i put pantene prov curl gel (level 3 hold) into small/medium sections of my hair and i scrunch. Then once every section of hair is covered, i put some on my hand, turn my head over and scrunch the whole thing. I let it dry and it looks great!

I completely understand your problem. I've had thick, frizzy, course hair my entire life. There are a couple of different things I can recommend to you, from personal experience, and recommended to me by my stylist: First, consider getting your hair thinned. Stylists have a special pair of scissors that thin out your hair. It doesn't damage your hair like a chemical would, and it makes it a lot more manageable. Second, the Aussie line of hair products offers a lot of great products that I have used to help tame my frizz. Aside from a leave-in conditioner spray that works well, they also have a deep-conditioning product called "3 minute miracle that helps and a mousse with leave-in conditioner in it. It holds the hair down and keeps it soft while cutting down frizz. Aussie is a great line that's not very expensive, smells great, and works well. Third, try Biosilk. You can get it at your local salon, and I even think that places like Wal-Mart carry it now. Think of it as a lotion for your hair. I have been using this product for years and years, and I love it. It smooths my hair out, cuts frizz, makes my hair feel silky smooth, and smells delicious. It is a little expensive, but it works, and it works well. There is also an entire line of Biosilk hair care products that work nicely together. My stylist recommended Biosilk to me ages ago, and I have been using it ever since. I hope some of this information helps you. If you still have trouble, consider asking your hair dresser for advice. They would know best what product will give your hair the most help. Good luck!

Well there's lot's of products in the store you can find.My hair is naturally curly and like i have bangs i straighten them and do they get really frizzy. So i put a product call "Garnier Fructis Anti-Frizz Serum".When you but it on you might think its really oily well its not after a couple of minutes its gonna blend in with you hair and when you touch your hair its gonna be smooth and soft but not frizzy. Then there's another product i use to use its called "L'Oreal Paris Studio Heat Seeker".And what it is its for frizz as well like i said i straighten my hair so i apply it before straightening and yes it works.Till one day my cousin wasstraighteningg my hair and as i passed her the bottle i notice the directions and it said "Beat the heat! Apply Heat seeker generously to damp hair.Blow dry, or let air dry.Fine tune your style with heat styling tool of choice." so know i straighten my hair its not frizzy at all. They work, if your not satisfied well sorry but your not alone my cousin deals with it to. hope it helped.

I have hair like that, and i had it thinned out. It was the worse mistake of my life!! Don't do it. I missed the frizziness when i had. If you are growing your hair longer then it will naturally split the end. So don't worry about that just try not to straighten it. French plait or twist the front for a bit so no straighteners are necessary. Try not to put too many products in your hair. It will make it worse. Just use shampoo and conditioner and then a leave in conditioner. Put heat protection in if you do have to straighten it and don't wash your hair everyday else it gets rid of the natural minerals in your hair! x

Try using coconut oil. It does wonders. I love it. Leave this in over night then wash it out in the a.m. or if you have a date & want to look nice then leave it in for an hr. Then wash it out. It does wonders. You can get it for $6 at th Vitamin Shoppe. You can get the same thing for a little more at the grocery store. I use Spectrum Naturals but there is this link I am sending you just so you can see a few of the things it can help with. Here is a few it will strengthen, prevent graying, prevent fallling out, etc. Good luck & God bless you. :)
