How can I style african american hair?

How can style my natural African- American hair it's very dry help ?

You didn't really give too much background in terms of what you want to do or what issues you are having except for dryness. To reduce shrinkage and have plaible hair, start with a good shampoo and conditioner. I use Avlon's Kera Care Detangling Shampoo--and then I use Qhemet Biologics moisturizing leave in and the heavy cream oil. Both are natural products without mineral oil or petroleum. I'm not sure what you are using in your hair, or what style you may want to have. You can do twists, braids, afro puffs...the list goes on. Spray on moisturizers are great to style dry hair also. Qhemet has some great sprays that can soften your hair ---the key is that you have to moisturize your hair daily. Products with mineral oil and petroleum don't add moisture, but rather act as barriers-what you want is something that will be absorbed into your hair and scalp to add in keeping your hair soft and supple. Emu oil is very good to use on daily basis. There are also good product lines out that will use your natural curl. Kinky Curly is one product, and another is Miss. Jessie's Buttercreme. In fact, Miss Jessies has a section that shows the many ways you can style your natural hair. I find that the product works for 3-4A hair--and that Kinky Curly works for 4B and below (basically from the kinkest to wavy.)
