    There is no age restriction, and I know plenty of 13 year olds who dye their own hair and buy their own products. Some things you should be aware of if you haven't done it before. The chances of you getting the colour on the pack are slim, your tones in your own hair will affect the outcome, the closer you stick to your own natural colour, the better the result will be. If you have never dyed your hair before, it is really important that you carry out the allergy test as directed on the pack, if you don't and you have a serious allergic reaction, you could be disfigured for life. At the same time, carry out the strand test and you will know what result you will get when you have finished. Follow the information on the pack to the letter and you should be happy with the result. Always read the information on what to look out for in an allergic reaction, and make sure you have some antihistamine nearby just in case. Chances are, you will be fine. No age restriction, however you are quite young and if you dye it it can lead to all sorts of problems at school, with your parents, etc. Ask before you dye it.

There id no legal age, i bought some just the other week, not for myself BTW. I'd reccomend getting it done proffessionally if your going form black/brunette - blonde or the other way round, coz it can be seriously dodgy if you home dye it.

There shouldn't be a resriction, you should easily be able to go into any store and buy any hair dye you want.

Is this question so that when your parents go balistic you can say 'but the law says?....'. Why don't you speak to your parents first and then when they agree you can go to a hairdressers and get it done properly. Seriously, 13 is way too young to be dying your hair, and you really shouldn't be doing it yourself

There isn't an age restriction for buying hair dye. But please, whatever you do, do the patch test 48 hours before you dye your hair. I didn't do the test, and when I dyed my hair, my whole face swelled up and all my scalp burnt. Good luck with your dye :)
