My hair is over bleached & very damaged and now won't absorb or hold colour - HELP!?
-
Basically my hair has been over bleached, coloured over and now is a strange colour and won't hold anymore colour and I need help! I had shoulder length black hair in immaculate condition. I then had it lifted with a bleach bath in a salon and a tint put over the top. I lef it alone for a couple of weeks but wasn't happy with it. I then used Garnier Pre Lightener to see how light I could get it. I did it once and it went a very orange colour. Within a couple of days I did it again (I have very strong hair) and I had white roots, a yellow middle and orange ends. I then booked in at my salon as it seemed a good idea to just go for it and have it all cut into a pixie cut and get it as blonde as possible. I told the colourist what I had done and explained the best route for getting it white (I used to have it done some years ago). I had at this point white roots and a yellow middle section with orange ends but would have been losing the majority of it to have a pixie cut. Basically the end result was bright yellow, completely frazzled (even though the roots to mid lengths weren't in bad condition before this believe it or not). I was going on holiday a few days later and couldn't bear to go away with hair like Eminem. So I called back and was asked to come in and get it bleached/ toned some more! This seemed like a TERRIBLE idea. So after a day or so I put a mahogany red on it to try and get it brown but with a red base to grip. My hair absorbed the red like a sponge (it was lovely actually) but then the next day dropped all of the colour and went a faded pink/ orange colour. Following this I tried various different reds to try and restore the pigment but it just wasn't absorbing anymore colour! In the end I bought a chocolate colour as a ditch attempt to have normal looking hair before my holiday. It went a copper colour, incredibly dry looking and patchy. On holiday it then lightened - hello ginger! - and when I came back I put another mahogany colour on it but this time it just went a slightly darker copper. It's so short already if I have anymore cut I will literally be bald! If I wait for it to grow out it will take a good few months and I would quite like to try and rescue it before then. I've read that the best thing to do is to use a non harmful colour stripper (with no bleach) and to start again with a red dye to restore the pigment - but this seems to be what I did in the first place and didn't work. The result I want now is a rich chocolate colour to get it more blocky and looking healthy again but I don't want to keep piling dye onto it! ANY advice about the best thing to do would be great - I have strong hair but it will only stay strong for so long! And as for returning to the salon, I've had nothing but bad experiences with colour in various salons so I'd really rather not go back. It's so short that I feel confident to do it at home as have coloured my hair for years. Thank you!

Answer:
Right now your hair is empty. Imagine that your hair is like a stained glass window. You have removed all the colored glass with the bleach, that leaves you with the metal that holds the glass and the molding that holds the metal. If you want it to look anything like a beautiful stained glass window again, you must fill back in the colored glass.....and this is how. --- Start with the smallest color molecularly....red, pile on a deep shade of warm red in a semi perminent color, no need for real hair dye again, remember you hair cuticle is wide open, so go semiperminannt and sit undera dryer for 30 minutes. I recommend Redkin Shades EQ 7R Bonfire --- Next neutralize your red with a cool blue semi permanent same way, try Redkin Shades EQ 7A ---Now you are ready for your neautral tone at the level you desire. All three steps are nessesary because......think back to the STAINED GLASS WINDOW, you cannot put more than one piece of glass in at a time...get it, you must layer them in one at a time to get the effect. Good Luck

k, do it with kool aid, if u mix some colors up it should make the color u want [red, orangon-kinda Blonde with brown]. and plus kool aid it good for your hair. Here is the directions get 3 packs of kool aid[get 2 colors if u want 3 of each or 6 of one, the darker the color the more you want to put in, also do your hair in sections if u want it easy that way] Next get 1tablespoon on condiner know get 3 small drops of hot water. Mix it all in to a paste. Then you ether wrap it up in a towl or do it in sections like in a salon and put a bag over your head. Know leave it in for 6-12 hours, the longer the darker, and the longer it will stay in longer. Do this before bed so when you wake up you can wash ur hair, no shampoo or condiner. Then air dry for 20 minutes then use ur hair dyre. [red and orangon blonde and brown][blue-green][blue and red make a really preety brown if you keep it in for 12-13 hours] hope i helped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can suggest a lotion and a shampoo which is a natural formula made of essential oils and extracts of herbs that penetrate rapidly through the scalp, providing rich and deep nourishment to hair follicles and hair gets strengthened. It has a calming effect on the scalp, Reduces itching, Eliminates dandruff and split ends and strengthens hair follicles. This I can tell you with confidence because this is my personal experience. It is a 100% natural lotion with NO secondary effects. Plus the website www.ziravie.com gives you a chart for internal nutrition. But this demands dedication of at least six weeks to see results. There are no miracles existing we ourselves are miracles.
Well, there isn't really much you can do about the colour. But, as for the damaged hair, you can use special shampoos and conditioners, like most TRESemme hair stuff. You can also try some Alberto Balsam, I like Tea-tree Tingle (works a treat for me, as for the pommegranate one too), as they have most of the same ingredients as TRESemme but cheaper (like it says on the bottle), but unfortunately not quite so good. You could try some hair masks, too, like these following: 1 very ripe banana A few drops of almond oil (available at health food stores) Smush the banana and almond oil together in a small bowl. Massage into your hair, paying special attention to the ends. Leave for 15 minutes, then rinse and shampoo. Follow with a light (daily) conditioner and rinse very well. Use this recipe once a week to restore life to your damaged hair. This treatment is especially effective on hair that's tired or dry from heat-processing and coloring. OR 1 Tablespoon of honey 1 Liter (4 and 1/4 cups) of water Mix the honey and water in a clean plastic bottle. After you wash, condition and rinse, pour some of this mixture over your hair as a finishing rinse (don't wash out). Style as usual. Can be used daily. The first one will help repair your hair from over straightening and colouring, and the second one will help keep it shinier and less frizzy and uncontrolable. I really hope this helps!
