How To Cut Men Hair?

Why do people tell men with long hair to get a hair cut?

  • How is it any of their concern or business? Why would the person take their advice to please someone they don't care about.....It happens to me sometimes....it's not as if someone's opinion or rude comments will make me cut my hair....guys with long hair know we have the freedom to grow it out and obviously love it long or would not have it long.

    Men grow their hair long for many reasons: Some do so because of vanity, some to draw and demand attention, some to make a fashion or social statement, some because they probably wish they were born a woman, some because they simply want to look different. Then there are some men, like myself, who let it get long because they don't concern themselves about it enough to bother to get a haircut, because their head is on more pressing matters, like creating a masterpiece or discovering a cure to a disease or writing an epic poem, etc., than making a fashion statement or trying to put up an anti-social front to get attention. But here's the deal: It shouldn't be anybody else's business but your own if you grow your hair long. It's your head, dude. Your life, your body, your head! Don't sell out your head.

They are trying to help, that's all. I get that often - my hair is down to my @ss now, and I want to cut it a little, but I don't want others to tell me it needs to be cut. Oh well. I can nod and say "thanks, I'll think about it," just as easily as getting upset.

Its not their business, and my wife loved my long hair...It helped her guide me along if you catch what I mean.

I personally think it is disgusting anyone telling a man to cut his hair. I saw a blog from a woman with very long hair, below her bum, moaning about how someone she had interviewed had long hair. She also set a poll about her brother (who had similar length - and funnily enough, much better condition as her) as whether he should get short back and sides or keep it long!! Luckily 95% said keep it long! She was saying how women should be the only ones who can have long hair. Why should that be? Mother nature gave men the ablity to also.. I find her very hypocritical. A lot of it is to do with the 'business image'. Unforuntely, we have the romans to blame for bringing short hair for men 'in fashion. Clothes can be changed for a day at work. However, to cut long hair short, takes mere minutes... while to grow it long takes many years depending on the length. There really needs to be some kind of law in place that prevents this sort of discrimination.

Long hair on men is absolutely glorious. I think it represents their power, at least to the Native Americans. I'm sure there are a few guys who don't take care of their hair, but as long as it's healthy and taken care of, there should be no reason to cut it.

I would only say that ( in suggestion form only) if the person were a friend of mine, and it occurred to me that they are incapable of taking care of their hair and it made them look homeless.. Other than that, I can't see me telling anyone to get a haircut.
