Should I turn off my computer during a thunderstorm?

There is a bad thunderstorm...should i turn off my computer????

  • i dont want the moniter to blast or something....can i keep it on, cuz the storms REALLY dangerous looking???

  • Answer:

The chances are very rare for lightening to get to your electrical gadgets. But if you don't want to take any chance and you can afford to switch off you may unplug the power connectors to protect your money. You may have to unconnect your net work connections. If can't unconnect and want to stay on connectivity, you can improve by providing spike busters etc. they may protect to some extent.

yes

im done

Uh yeah, and also like someone said unplug it until it passes cause having it on can cause a short circuit or something like that. And besides if the electricity goes down and u don't have a battery back up that could damage the computer.
