Does a La Nina usually cause a warmer Gulf of Mexico and a colder Atlantic Ocean during wintertime?
-
What I mean by Atlantic Ocean is the area east of Bermuda and the Carribean Islands. Please answer, any help would be appreciated.
-
Answer:
There is no real correlation of Atlantic basin water temperatures with La Nina or El Nino. Those events are tied, and actually defined by, water temperature changes in the tropical central and eastern Pacific Ocean.
