Weather in mid-April in Italy?

What is the weather like in Italy?

  • I am going to Italy in January for their winter which is during my summer (I live in NZ.) I have never been to Italy or the snow. What would the weather possibly for this time of year? Thanks.

  • Answer:

January in Italy is generally cold.January 29, 30 and 31 are known as the "days of the blackbird" and are supposed to be the coldest of the year. A winter vacation in Italy has some advantages, however: once the Christmas holidays are over (after January 6), the sights are almost deserted and you will find a warm welcome everywhere. In hotels, low season prices apply. Have a safe trip. :)
