How crazy is Melbournes (Australia) weather? (Does this happen in your city)?

I live in england near london and we get them all the time,nearly every time we have a heatwave, which would bring us around 30oC during day time and around 17oC at night then once a cold front comes over that night will go down to say 10oC and then the day time will go down to around 18oC-20oC, and if were in a heatwave and its 30oC and then we have a storm the temperature will drop DRAMATICALLY I remember a few years ago i heard a storm coming, it was very slow moving and the blackest clouds when i was just sitting here in 28oC sun then after about 2 hours it made it to us and the temperature dropped from 28oC at 1pm down to 18oC by 6pm that was the fastest I have ever seen temperatures drop on my home weather station... oh and during winter we will quite often get days that are colder than the night because the sun is so weak idoesn'tnt really have much of an effect on our temperatures, take today and tomorrow for examplewe'veve got 9oC all day and all over night and thetomorrowow the temperatures will keep dropping throughout the day ad then down to 7oC by 3 tomorrow afternoon!
