What does it actually mean if you are under a air stagnation advisory?
-
I see that this has been out for the Pacific Northwest for the last several days but what does it actually mean to have one? How is it different than the standard air quality advisory?
-
Answer:
It is an advisory that is issued when a mass of air stays over an area for an extended period of time. Pollutants cannot be cleared from the air because of very light winds or no precipitation. This can cause people with respiratory system issues such as allergies and asthma to become sick or have breathing issues.
