What are some of the causes and effects of El Nino?

Please help me with El Nino!?

  • I have a project due Wednesday. Can you please tell me how the changes from El Nino affect areas all over the world. (what are teleconnections?) If you want to be really nice you can give me 5 examples of the global effects and explain how El Nino causes these effects. Thank you soo much!

    When looking at El Nino and La Nina it is best to look at the southern and northern hemispheres separately as opposed to the world as a whole since these two things can cause very different weather patterns depending on where you live.
