Where the huge amount of rain water is stored?and how?

well basically, as water evaporates, it rises to the clouds in the form of water vapor. next as the weight of the accumulated vapor increases, rain clouds that are formed condenses in the form of acid or plain freaking rain..then after the rain stops, the whole cycle repeats itself again..got that?

The rain water harvesting method involves collecting the rain water and then through the means of wells dug in the ground, it is allowed to seep in the ground. The whole concept of rain water harvesting was developed on the basis that, in cities, the rain water does not have an apportunity to ingress in the ground due to the taring and paving of the land, instead it just passes off in the drains and eventually ends up in the sea. But with rain water harvesting we allow the water to percolate in the ground hence increase the ground water levels, and this increase in the ground water levels will help us during the dry seasons.
