What should i wear in weather between august and september in australia?

  • i am going to australia from 26th august to 8th september this year. i plan to stay in sydney for a week and visit melbourne for another week. i'm quite confused on the weather. what would the weather be during such late august that i will be going? do i still need to bring a coat, jacket, sweater or knitted clothes? what about from 1st-8th september, what should i wear? please let me know. thanks

    Nights will be cool - say about 9/10 C with daytime highs of about 17 C. So you will need an outer jacket which is at least showerproof, since it may also rain. As always it will feel warmer in the sun. Since Australia is quite a lot closer to the equator than the UK then sunshine is more intense and a hat is not a bad idea.
