How do you calculate relative humidity?

How to calculate Relative humidity.?

  • Hi everyone, I want to calculate Relative Humidity(RH). I know only temperature (current temp & pre temp ). how can i obtain this value...which other parameter i need to find & how. Thank you Regards Sumit

  • Answer:

Fill a drinking glass with ice and tap water. Stir. Insert thermometer. When glass sweats...take a temperature reading. This is the dew point temperature. Use the the dew point temperature and the air temperature to find vapor pressure and saturation vapor pressure. If temperature and dew point are in fahrenheit...convert to Celsius. Saturation vapor pressure... Es = 6.11 * 10.0**(7.5 * Tc / (237.7 + Tc)) Vapor pressure... E = 6.11 * 10.0**(7.5 * Tdc / (237.7 + Tdc)) Relative humidity (%) = (E / Es) * 100

Es=6.11*10.0**(7.5*Tc/(237.7+Tc)) E=6.11*10.0**(7.5*Tdc/(237.7+Tdc)) you have given me this formula can you please specify after 10 there is which operator present or what is the meaning of **.. thank you

You need some measurement of the moisture content of the air, such as the dew point or the wet bulb temperature.
