First off get the right training so you know how to care for the kids and what to do if something unknown happens. Then make a flyer on your computer with your age, phone number, area, how many kids you can babysit at once (2 or 3 max, depending on age), what you want to be paid, and a little about yourself. Put these flyers up around town, in your church, at local kid hang-outs, and in mailboxs on your road. This should get you some jobs then word of mouth will help you out. But be sure you can trust these people, don't go into a place you feel uncomfortable, and have your Mom or Dad meet theirs.

Ask your parents to help spread the word. Maybe put an ad in the paper? Or at your local grocery store?

You need to check the newspapers, because usually there you have lots of notifications about what you are asking for! Try to find a job, which will be near to your house, in that area where you are living and I think it will be just great for you!

Make fliers and hand them to your neighbors or you can hand them out to churches. My neighbor called me the other day asking if I needed a sitter and it so happened I did. I did take a red cross babysitting class and that did help and they can refer you to people looking for babysitters. Churches would be a great place to ask around. Then them they can spread the news of people they know who have kids. Be care about putting ads in newspapers and in grocery stores. There are bad people out there who may use that advertisement to hurt you. Always have your parents talk to them if they are strangers and have your parents meet them with you. In doing that it shows you are being responsible. Parents will undertand.

I would consider becoming a mother's helper for experience first. Duties might include helping a mom with the kids while on outings, watching kids when they are playing in the yard if Mom has things to do inside etc.
