Can a lot of stress cause a woman to miscarry?

• So my wife is pregnant... She has had a miscarriage before about 6 years ago. She also had cervical cancer around that time which has been resolved. Although tumors on the cervix had to be removed so I have no Idea if this caused damage. Additionally she has a high stress level in general and she is iron deficient (prior to being pregnant). This seems like a lot of stuff so I am wondering what the odds are she might miscarry. She is 25 and 10 weeks... there was no heartbeat at 9 weeks when they did the ultrasound but apparently that was no cause for concern. She has another appointment on the 14th when I expect we will hopefully hear a heart beat. If any woman with similar circumstances could elaborate for me I would appreciate it. Just want to know what the odds are and what were looking at.

  Firstly, it is really nice to see/Hear your concern. If there wasnt a hearbeat then that could mean 2 things. 1. they need to use another source of ultrasound (by inserting into the vagina) or the second is that your pregnancy has terminated. Thats what happened to me last year. I had 2 miscarriages and they did tests and found that i had blood clots which wasnt helping the baby to get supply of oxygen.
