Christmas day pay australia?
-
I am a permanent part time worker for coles and I work sunday nights, as coles was closed on christmas day I obviously didnt work, Do I still get paid for it???

Answer:
Do you get sick leave and holiday pay? Was Christmas day on your normal rostered day? If the answer is yes to BOTH of these questions then you should get paid for the day. If you don't get sick leave and holiday pay then you are not actually a permanent employee but a casual and won't get paid.

no you dont they dont need to pay you when they are closed unfortunatly its your loss if it was a smaller company you would have more chance but being coles and such a huge company they dodge where they can permenant part time really means nothing except your garunteed so many hours a week
