I've been looking into b/c options after I have my baby and I am looking into Implanon. It goes under the skin in the arm.

The implant. Usually its called Implanon or Nexplanon (that might just be in the UK). Yes it is very reliable, statistically its more than 99% effective so less than 1 in 100 people get pregnant while on it. However its does have its side effects, some of which can be pretty bad, I have been on the implan for a year now and have bled every single day since a week after it went in, ive had tests done and its purely because of the implant. Depending on your situation if that happens to you they may be able to give you the combined pill in addition to the implant for a month or so to help regulate your periods again.

You mean an IUD? It's inserted and protects as long as it's there. Apparently it's one of the best methods of birth control. Do some research on google, though.
