• I'll try to be direct so I won't take up much time. I had sex with my boyfriend last night and the condom broke. My boyfriend always checks after he pulls it out and runs his fingers around the whole condom and the tip to make sure it's not leaking or it doesn't have any holes. This time he checked and as usual he didn't feel any fluid at all or any holes. I went to the bathroom minutes later and when I came back he said that when he took it off he noticed a small hole along the shaft of his penis, nowhere hear the head. This took us both by surprise considering he didn't feel any liquid from the outside when he checked. We went to the pharmacy and I took the Plan B One-Step pill around an hour after this all occurred. Now, my period came the week of christmas, so it's supposed to come again around the beginning of the week of the 17th of this month. I'm including this period information because I want you to think about ovulation and my chances of becoming pregnant due to the time that I had sex, which was last night. What do you think are my chances of becoming pregnant? How effective do you think the pill will be in my case? Thanks in advance.

  You should be fine if you took the plan B. It will prevent any egg from implanting in your uterus. Also, 10 days before your period, most likely any egg would have already been gone. So not likely you are.
