What led you to yahoo answers?

I was Googling little questions about my daughter..and general parenting information . I too kept finding answers here...so I made a profile...and got addicted. I do wish, though..that I could rid myself of the TC badge. I've had it for awhile now. But, I do still love getting a best answer. It makes me happy when another person likes what you wrote for her. i too googled something (can't even remember what now) that led me here, i saw a few questions and the insane answers some replied with, and thought, oo i have to tell them, people want genuine answers not smart remarks. Lets face it, if we don't learn through our own experience, we can learn through others, i love it, my husband thinks i'm addicted. although do get annoyed with the "could i be pregnant" questions that seem to be on here a million times a day xxx

I started the same way you did. I was researching something, and typed it into Google, and it led me here. I started reading different questions, and found some of them really interesting, so I made a profile. I am very much addicted. My fiance works nights, and I am very much a night owl. It gives me something to do. I enjoy helping people, and sharing any knowledge I may have. When I have questions, about different things, I can ask, and get answers, or opinions. Its comforting in a way. I also have an inquisitive personality, so I enjoy picking a random subject and reading all the questions and answers. I can kill a lot of time that way. I've also made a few friends, to boot.

Two things brought me to Y!A. The first was a blog called '11 Points' which has lists of all sorts of things (11 in each list!). One of the best lists is called '11 Stupid Questions From Yahoo Answers That Have Changed My Life'. I wholeheartedly recommend that everyone reads it. The second thing was my email - Yahoo. It has a link to Answers, among other things.

I'm kinda addicted to it... I'm aiming for a TC badge too. I been a member since last year when I found out I was pregnant. I had made a yahoo email address but never really used it. Then one day when I went to check my emails, yahoo answers somehow appeared on my email page like a promotion or something. So I clicked on it and at first I was really lost and had no clue how to navigate around the site, so I left it and the next day i came back and had a proper look around, browsing the sections and reading the rules. I liked it and now I am an everyday addict and proud to be a yahoo answers contributer... :)
