I am 20 wks and have a Blood pressure of 167 over 118......what does this mean? I passed out this afternoon in a Car Park after shopping for 10 mins. We were on way back to car and I went freezing cold but was sweating massively. I don't remember anything for over an hour but was told an ambulance was called and every time they tried to lift my head from horizontal I blacked out again. In between I wasn't with it, didn't know where I was but knew my children and husband were there. The ambulance crew took my Blood pressure 3 times as they thought there was a prob with the machine but the lowest came back as 167 over 118. And they tested machine on husband and it was working fine. Anyway, they ended up blue lighting me to hospital A&E and they took Blood Pressure 12 times and it didn't come under 148 over 110. No protien in urine and all other tests ok. They have discharged me to bed rest at home until I see Consultant Obs on Monday morning (I have my 20 wk scan then too). I have to go and see drs/midwives during the week too to check blood pressure. Does this mean this is the start of Pre Eclampsia? Any advice/info gratefully rec'd as am pretty stessed by whole thing. Many thanks in advance Bugsy xxx Ps: This is third baby, I have a a 7 yr old and a nearly 4 yr old too. 29 minutes ago - 4 days left to answer. Additional Details I am feeling ok in myself, tired, woozy and have a headachebut i guess that's to be expected after the day i've had!! pps: My normal pregnant blood pressure is 120 over 60-70. It has not gone higher than that in eith er of previous pregnancies. I'm blessed with low blood pressure! Bx 26 minutes ago They won't see me in maternity hospital as I'm not yet 22 weeks pregnant. 19 minutes ago Invisible Pink.....How do I get it under control? Do i call my emergency midwife number tonight even though i've been in A&E this afternoon? I'm really freaked out coz blood pressure is normally on the low side even at full term. Don't feel I can wait until monday.
