What is glandular cystitis?

Cystitis and early pregnancy.?

• My partner and I are trying to conceive. For those who are also trying will know what its like. You don't always want to wait until the end of your cycle to find out. It's hard to be patient :) So here is my question. I have NEVER had cystitis before last night. I realise what causes it etc....but I was wondering if cystitis was a very early (as in 4 weeks or less) sign of pregnancy. I do realise many women get cystitis, I also realise women who are pregnant get it. I also realise I can take a pregnancy test or just go to my doctor :) Does any one else know if Cystitis IS a very early sign of pregnancy? It has faded now, no constant peeing, just lower back ache and little discomfort around my lower stomach and sides. I have some ovulation test kits and was also wondering, what do ovulation test kits read when pregnant? Thanks in advance. :)

  Ovulation kits measure LH (Luteinising hormone) which is present when you're about to ovulate, as opposed to home pregnancy tests which measure HCG, another hormone which is only released when you're pregnant. No, cystitis is not a sign of pregnancy, and I know just what you're going through. It took us 16 loooong months to conceive, naturally in the end. Some people are lucky to get there quite quickly - for the rest of us it takes a lot longer. I'm afraid you just have to wait for your period to test. For the record, I had heaps of symptoms when TTC yet the month we actually conceived, I had no symptoms at all - honestly. Best of luck :-)
