Is it common to get a period so quickly when starting metformin?

Has anyone had a period after starting metformin but then nothing? I have a big negativo on the prego tests...?

• My husband and myself are TTC. I posted a question before because I thought I could be Prego, but it turned out to negative :( Anyways, I started metformin (PCOS positve) almost 2 months ago. Two weeks after starting I thankfully got a period after not having one for 3 months. Well now I have yet to see ANY signs of a period.....thats why I thought I could be prego. I had one spot of blood the day I was supposed to start and A LOT of clear wateryish dishcarge (about 3 days of that), but then it all stopped.... Long story short has anyone had anything like this happen on Metformin while TTC? And should I get a second opinion from another doctor since mine doesnt seem so concerned about any of this?

  I was on metformin to try and get pregnant and it didn't work it doesn't make you ovulate. But it can help with periods. My husband and I couldn't conceive and then our doctor put us on clomid combined with metformine. Needless to say I am pregnant now. But with them combined or any type of fertility pill you can get a false reading on the test. You have to be four or more weeks along for it to show up on a take home test. And don't take the next round until your sure your not pregnant.
