Why did they put "trying to conceive" in the pregnancy and parenting category?

I know what you mean, it really aggravates me that teenagers get on here and are like "I'm pregnant just on the first try...blah, blah, blah!" Yeah, it would be nice if they could put this category somewhere else sometimes, but I agree that it belongs here. We are all trying, to get pregnant, have a healthy pregnancy or to be good parents. The really great news is that once you do get pregnant, then you can come here to this forum and tell everyone of your struggles and success and you can sympathize with them when they feel the same way you do right this minute. Don't go there then! If it bothers you so much then obviously you have to deal with your problems/issues etc so it doesn't ruin everybody elses happiness. I'm sorry you are having problems conceiving, but you know what - worse things could happen. Move on & life may suprise you!

No it doesn't bother me. We all either want babies, have babies, are in the process of getting babies. It's all the same in some ways. They also have the adoption category here too...should those parents be singled out? I don't think so. We should all just support each other. I've been pregnant, and I've had a miscarriage, and now I'm trying to conceive. I'm happy that I can help others out in either situation. We all have days when we get frustrated with trying, but you just keep going. And be happy for those who finally succeed in getting pregnant... one day it will be you :)

I understand the pain that ur probably going through. I've been ttc for two years now and still no luck. My best friend just found out she was pregnant, it hurt to know that I still hadn't had any luck, but I still had to be happy for her. When you come to this category, you have so many people who are sharing your pain, but you have people who have been in your shoes and can give you advice and answer just about any question you have. When you finally do concieve, people will come to you with the same questions you had and they will want your advice. So be positive, it will happen when the time is right. I have to tell myself that same sentence everyday. Hope this helps!

You don't have to just care....

Where else would they put it? One is often trying to conceive to get pregnant and thus would be a parent. It just really *belongs* here and is in no way a form of 'rubbing it in' because some people are more unfortunate than others.

Well think about it...people who are pregnant or are parents have been through ttc. They have had experience. Wouldn't you want someone who has gone through it to be helping you with your questions? Also I don't really think that they are rubbing it in. They want to help.
