PCOS, Infertility and Clomid?
-
I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) last year. Recently, my husband and I have decided to have children, but unfortunately it will be difficult because of my PCOS. I was trying to find success stories about women with PCOS getting pregnant, but I can't seem to find much in comparison with negative stories. I will be going on Clomid soon and hopefully that will work. My question is, who out there has PCOS and has a success story that will make this less of a heartache? Has anyone tried Clomid? My gyno told me that I have a greater chance of miscarriages because of the PCOS. Did anyone experience this? What do you suggest? Any and all advice would be great, thank you.

Hi There, I'm in the same boat as you and have not been successful yet, but I"m only on my 3rd clomid cycle and am feeling hopeful. Here are success stories I've been told: My girlfriend has PCOS she conceived her first daughter naturally, she was a pleasant surprise. They wanted a second child and went on Clomid, they were successful in their 6th month! She has two gorgeous daughters when she thought she would have none. Another woman and her husband had been trying for 10 years (she started very young 22) and were unsuccessful. They finally converted a room they were saving as a nursery into an office, month later voila, pregnant! God Bless, stay positive, try to ignore ignorant ppl who keep asking why you don't have a baby and know it's okay to cry when you hear someone is pregnant or see a pregnant woman or family, just try not to let in encompass you. good luck!

There are a whole bunch of successful ladies who have conceived with the conditions you are talking about! Since clomid increases the chances of having multiples, I know them from Twinstuff.

My sister and I both have pcos. She also has Indemetriosis. I have three kids and she struggles with fertility. She started taking clomid and hcg injections last febuary! She is currently 10 weeks pregnant! Lots of women with PCOS get pregnant! It depends on the severity of the case. My sister didn't get pregnant While taking clomid. She had taken a month off since she had been going for almost a year! But the clomid played a major factor in her pregnancy by regulating her cycles. Make sure that you are charting it is very important in getting pregnant. I would also suggest the book Taking Charge of your Fertility Here is a link to her site where you can get charts and info on concieving with fertility problems! I read the whole book myself so that I could support my sister through the ups and downs of trying to conceive! It is a very interesting read. Good Luck and never give up hope You may get pregnant right away:) http://www.tcoyf.com/

I'm not a success story but I can tell you what Clomid is like. You will experience extreme mood changes from angry to happy in ninety to nothing. Make sure you prepare your husband for the sudden mood changes and make him understand that it has nothing to do with him it's simply the medication talking. My question to you has your specialist ran a hormonal panel on you yet to get the base line of your hormones? It's important to know now if your hormones are running high or low and which ones are doing what. There are and I know for a fact many woman who have had success with getting pregnant and taking Clomid. But don't expect it to happen the first time. I tried for a good number of years and due to my doctors not diagnosing me correctly it has cost me a lot. Do all your research and please try not to get discouraged, your going to be going through a lot of unexpected emotions and it can take it's toll on you! Good luck to you and your husband.

PCOS treatment; IUI, ICSI and Laparoscopic surgery is very cheap in India. The cost is very low and the medical services are very good in India. My cousin and her husband got their IVF treatment in India through the Forerunners Healthcare in India and is all praise for this company. She is a known case of PCOS.She is a very happy mother of a baby boy now. She just paid 2500 pounds for the full IVF treatment in India for which she was quoted 8000 pounds in private setup in UK. Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the newspapers. I have also read about a Chinese couple who planned surrogacy through the Forerunners Healthcare. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery and infertility treatment like IVF, IUI, and ICSI abroad for low price. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery and treatment can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star. http://www.forerunnershealthcare.com Hope this helps.
