5days late negative pregnancy and blood test...did i test to early ?..can a blood test be wrong?

well you have to be at least 3-4weeks pregnant for a blood or pregnancy test to show up positive. in some cases it doesn't always show up until your even further on than that an to add to that a pregnancy test might not show positive if theres any possible chance you might have a uriney tract infection which sometimes can occur when a women falls pregnant,so maybe you could consider that possibility. good luck an hopefully you are.

well its quite common to get a false negative on a hpt but I am not sure about a false negative with a blood test... I mean I havent heard that happening before... but you never know, everyone is different....why dont you try to wait another week (as hard as that maybe) and then do another blood test? mean while try to do some thing taht is going to keep you occupuied otherwise the wait will drive you nuts, like it does to me every month... good luck and baby dust on you

If the blood test was negative, I would wait another week before testing again. If the test is still negative with no period, call your doctor. Good luck!

You can take it again anytime but cheaper to wait a few days as those tests are expensive and your period could come any time if you are not pregnant. Two negative tests means it is very unlikely that you are pregnant this time, I am afraid. Stress, including that caused by trying for a child and waiting for your period, can cause it to be late so try not to think about it too much. Hard I know, but try to relax. Good luck.

I was in the same boat you were last month, my period is never late if anything its early, well i went two weeks with out it but i think i took a hpt everyday and then finally my doctor got me in to do a blood test and it was negative, he said you can take a blood test up to 8 or 9 days after having sex and it would be able to tell each day you wait the more they will be able to tell, so if you went 5days before your missed period i think it would be right, i got my flow a month and a half late. But the blood test should have been right by then, if you cant sleep at night and it bothers you that much get the blood test again, it will put you mind at ease, it did mine at least.

blood tests are never wrong. but if you are 5 almost 6 days late take a test see what the outcome is. good luck.

I just started my period after being six days late. All test came up neg. If it says neg, then it is neg. I really really hope you get a positive next month!!!!!! I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I am trying as well.
