What hormone is the highest amount at the time of ovulation?

Did you get pregnant with late ovulation? Withdrawal used?

  • (re-posted in hopes of more answers!) I should have ovulated about 2 weeks ago, but I didn't feel my usual ovulation pains. I just thought it was weird and didn't think anything of it. A week after that, i finally felt my ovulation pain in my left side. It was accompanied by EWCM and, the next day, a small amount of red blood and the some light brown spotting. At first I thought this could be implantation bleeding because it happened a week after my predicted ovulation, but then I realized a stressful death in my family could have made my ovulation happen a week later than usual. My fiance and I have sex using the pull-out method (*we are not trying, not preventing), and we were little riskier than usual around that time because I didn't think I was fertile at the time. Has anyone gotten pregnant that way (because you miscalculated your ovulation date)? Or did anyone have healthy pregnancies with late ovulation? I took a pregnancy test yesterday morning and it was negative, but I am either only 11dpo or 5dpo, depending on when I ovulated.

  • Answer:

The withdrawl method, though it's possible to get pregnant, is not a very effective way TO get pregnant. My husband and I used it for 2 years...while ovulating and while not...and I never got pregnant. He didn't withdraw on my period as well and I still never got pregnant. So, while it's possible, it's unlikely.
