Is it possible to still have your period and negative pregnancy tests and still be pregnant?

3 Negative Tests but still haven't gotten my period & have been feeling early pregnancy symotoms. possible?

  • For one week now I've been feeling early pregnancy symptoms: first started off with the very tender breast and nipples, covered lots of sleep during the day and night, heartburn, and nausea. Other than that, I haven't been feeling other things. When I eat some of my favorite foods (that I've never felt icky towards), I now feel like gagging it! and I haven't had much of an appetite and when I do, I FEEL like throwing it up but I never do. I just get the feeling of gagging. When I'm in the car, I get dizzy and nauseous. When I try and sleep at night I have a hard time due to my painful breasts, I can't get comfortable when I lay down at all! I've never experienced anything like this and I did lots of research on the web and it keeps pointing me to the pregnancy direction. PLUS I haven't gotten my period. So I figured there could be a possibility that I'm pregnant so I bought pregnancy tests and all three of them came out negative. I'm so confused because I feel 85% sure that I'm pregnant but those negative tests threw me so off. What are the chances of the test being a false negative? and what are the reasons for that? Do you think there's a possibility that I am pregnant??

    i did! i didnt find out i was expecting untill i was 10 weeks 4 days! (twin pregnancy!) i had no idea untill 10 weeks when i started to feel abit icky towards food! (not like me lol!) sadley i lost them both in august of last year! i got my next period on the 31st october and we TTC again i missed my period in november but was still getting negative tests but had lots of pregnancy symptoms like you! excactly 2 months after my last period AF reared her ugly head! so unfortunatly i wasn't expecting! actually i just missed a period! i think that all the 'SYMPTOMS' i was getting were all little signs of something else! AND BECAUSE I WANTED IT SO BAD I JUST THOUGHT I WAS! all you can do is relax i know its hard but you will soon find out when you get a BFP or AF arrives?

Ahh it could just be a hormone inbalance...but you should definitely see a doctor instead of asking us if you're pregnant.

what u told here it seems that u are pregant ..so i think its not always good to see with text . better u go to doctor he will send u to other doctor which utra it shows how long u got ur pregnancy so better u go to doctor and tell her/him ..he/her send u to utra sound and it will shows everything.-. thats it .. thanks .. better in time .. dont belive in texts-- i know if u are preganat :) well done:) i wish u the best then :) nah have nice day

you can definitely be pregnant even with 3 negative pregnancy tests. sometimes your urine doesn't have enough of the hcg hormone which makes them come out negative. you should definitely go to your dr and get a blood test. that would tell you if you're pregnant without a doubt since it can detect the hormone at an earlier stage than a hpt. good luck and god bless

Well, usually people don't have those pregnancy symptoms until later in the pregnancy. I've heard of a lot of people that have false negatives though. Pregnancy symptoms are extremely similar to PMS. Wait a week and take a test again if you still haven't had your period.

this happened to my friend, but she was on birth control and then stopped taking it, this was the cause for no period, the doctor got her to start taking BC again, and she got her period like a day later

Definitely I think you with this symptoms and late period. The best think you can do is to have blood test done. Good Luck for you

You're probably feeling those symptoms because you're being really paranoid. Its happened to me alot before. Yeah those tests arent 100% accurate, but if you took three of them and all of them came up negative you should be fine. If its still bothering you, go to planned parenthood or something. The tests there are like 10 dollars and their like 100% accurate. Good Luck =] And by the way period syptoms and early pregnancy symptoms can be alot alike such as tender breasts so you might just be pmsing.
