How long does EWCM last?

• I have always read that you need egg white cervical mucus. When we were trying, I would chart my cervical mucus, and I never had any like ewcm. I was on clomid though and got pregnant both times the second month. We are going to try again, without clomid. Has anyone else got pregnant without ewcm and how long did it take and if so, were you on clomid then?

  You may have EWCM and not know it--it could be INSIDE the vagina. Not everyone has large amounts of vaginal discharge. To answer your question, EWCM is NOT required to get pregnant. Doctors theorize that it creates a sort of ladder that helps sperm travel to the Ovum faster, but it is not necessary for fertilization. Many women use it as an indicator of ovulation, so if you don't have it, then it's not a good indicator for you. You may want to get a home ovulation test kit (which you may already have), which is more reliable for many women. Good luck!!
