How Does Gender Affect Blood Pressure?

Can having high blood pressure affect my chances of getting pregnant?

  • I was just diagnosed with high blood pressure and am now taking medication for it. I am now measuring my food and counting sodium content (trying to stay under 1500 mg a day), but I am also trying to conceive with my husband. My doctor says if I lose weight the high blood pressure will most likely go away, so I've been working out as well. Is having high blood pressure going to affect whether or not I can get pregnant?

  • Answer:

Nope it won't affect your fertility, just make sure you are blood pressure medicine that is okay to take during pregnancy as many are not appropriate.
