How quickly did you get pregnant again after miscarriage?

  • I was just wondering how quickly people got pregnant after having a miscarriage and did you wait for you next period before trying?

    I had a miscarriage in December 2008 and after waiting six weeks to heal, decided not to actively try, but not prevent either. I became pregnant at the end of September 2009. My son is now 20 months old, super healthy and super active. Good luck!

We waited until after my next cycle. Unfortunately we lost that one too (2 weeks ago). I have MANY friends that waited that long or not even that and it's worked out. It's a game of roulette really. All you can do is stay on your vitamins and keep healthy and work on it when you feel ready. My doctor is not convinced that waiting or not waiting is a factor. He told us maybe this time wait a little longer but I know so many people who have not had a problem with not waiting so I don't know. I'm in two minds about it at the moment.

My miscarriages were both very early, in that situation you don't have to wait. My doctor cleared me to try again as soon as the bleeding stopped. Anyway, after my first miscarriage it took a few months, and I still miscarried again. My second miscarriage was November 23 and I ovulated and conceived again on December 18 (late ovulation is normal for me) without ever getting a period in between. That little bean is growing very well, I am now 13 weeks along.

the next month but sadly it ended up in miscarriage also if i were you id wait 3 to 4 no matter what your doctor says if its your 1st pregnancy you could have a prenatal problem
