Which natural progesterone cream is best?
-
Ok so to make a long story kind of short. I had an early miscarriage at 4 weeks in the first week of Nov. My HCG levels at 4w0d were only a 98 and I had period-like bleeding and "menstrual cramps" so the Dr said it looks like a nonviable pregnancy. My progesterone was only a 0.9, which is insanely low. My Dr can't say if the low progesterone was a RESULT of the miscarriage or a CAUSE! I got pregnant 3 months after coming off the pill (if that info helps idk) But since it was my first miscarriage and I am still young (22)(engaged, a college graduate and financially stable so you can spare me the being too young stuff)lol.. he doesn't want to look into it unless it happens again. Well obviously I don't want to wait around for another miscarriage so I am thinking about trying a natural progesterone cream, since it can't hurt (my progesterone was a 0.9) and I read you don't even ovulate with that low of a number. So basically my question is which natural progesterone cream would anyone recommend?? It can be from a store or online, any suggestions would be appreciated!! Thanks!

Whoever answered the question before was an idiot and I'm sorry for their inadequate answer. Having a miscarriage is very very very difficult (I know because I just had one). It's heartbreaking. My husband and I are young like you (we're both 21) but we are financially stable and ready for a baby. I am considering taking progesterone and I have heard that you can buy it in cream form at certain health food stores or over the internet. You should also consider taking a baby aspirin every day as this can help if you have problems with implantation. Make sure it's a baby aspirin though and not the regular full strength. Also... stop drinking a lot of caffeine if you are. I cut it out of my diet altogether because doctors say that drinking lots of caffeine may up the risk of miscarriage. We've been trying for 13 months (naturally) and I had a miscarriage this month. If you feel like you need to talk.. please email me: [email protected]

One should not self medicate. Progesterone creams are normally precribed to infertile women, and you are not infertile, nor have problem ovulating if you got pregnant before. You had probably a chemical pregnancy and your doctor is right, there is no reason to be concerned. It happens a lot and most women do not even know it. Early testing causes more harm that good. I think that you are being overly anxious about this and trying to get ahead of the game by any means possible even against your doctor's advice!!! It can do you more harm that good to self-medicate when you do not have any medical conditions or fertility problems. Seriously, you need to chill. You sound like a hypochondriac and I mean that with uppermost respect. Good luck PS/ No one can prevent a miscarriage, You are taking the completly wrong approach. I suggest you invest on pre-natal vitamins instead. Best wishes EDIT to ADD: Great attitude!. Sarcasm would imply a level of intelligence that you obvioulsly do not have. Grow up.
